Mere takhayyul ka koi shaahkaar nahi
Jewaa.n lahoo se hai qaym rangeeni-e-hena-e-chaman
Hai kaun ahl-e-wafa jo sang-saar nahi
Un hi ke dam se hai qaym weqar-e-maikhana
Jo rasm-e-maikashi se kabhi sharmsaar nahi
Hai ismeiN gardish-e-ayyam par hayaat keha.n
Har ek lemha ke jab tera entezaar nahi
Gham-e-hayat ne daali hai.n bandishei.n warna
HameiN to yuN nahi ke kisi se pyaar nahi
Zubaan-e-taan mei.n larzish, dil-e-syaah mei.n yaad
Namaz-e-nyaaz hai yaaro, ye ishtehaar nahi
Ho shama kaisay farozaa.n, hangama ho bapa kaisay
Woh anjuman ke jeha.N zikr-e-yaar nahi
